Description

Tucked cosily away in the lush green garden of a citrus farm in the lush Gamtoos River valley north of Patensie, Old Bearie is only a short drive from the eastern entrance of the fabulous Baviaanskloof Wilderness area and is thus perfectly placed as a stop-over either on the way to or from the Baviaans or, indeed, from which to make days trips into it.

In itself, Old Bearie is a peaceful and relaxing place to stay, amid the ordered neatness of the citrus orchards and with serene views of the nearby hills.

Apart from the obvious attraction of the Baviaanskloof and the various activities to be found around Patensie, guests are welcome to stroll in the orchards or along the river, which runs through the farm. Alternatively, explore the hills or follow the path along the irrigation canal which has made the valley what it is.

ACCOMMODATION:
The cottage is easy accessible from the main road with a normal sedan vehicle.

The cottage can sleep up to seven persons and is thus suitable for couples or small families or a group of friends. It has three bedrooms that sleeps a double, two singles and one with a single bed and a bunker bed.

The lounge has more than ample seating and form part of the open plan kitchen with a fridge, microwave, 2 plate cooker and everything else needed for comfortable self catering. A build in fire place for winter rounds it off.

For outdoor relaxing or entertaining there is a spotless veranda and a private lapa area with a braai.
